  • Can you tell me thetitle of the first song that you used for background?

    It sounds great! Please.

  • The song is "Everlasting" by BoA Kwon.

  • Is that Saul Kripke with sunglasses in the last image? He was at Princeton in the 70s. It really, really looks like him.

  • No, I don't think that's him. However, if you do a search on YouTube for "Saul Kripke", you should be able to see a video with a photo of him from that period.

  • There was philosophy and from that, science was born. Philosophy isn't a science, science is philosophy.

  • This song sucks. Couldn't you find something that suits philosophy and academia?

  • what class was this? 1970?

  • terrifying korean ballads

  • Ah, philosophy. "The qualification that qualifies you to you talk absolutely useless bollocks having regurgitated the absolutely useless bollocks of other famous bullshitters, whilst never having been allowed to express your own opinion or thoughts in any of the exams, and makes you about as useful as a chocolate teapot in terms of supporting a family." - Me.

  • why does Santayana thinks that just because philosophy is not a science, it should not be taught in college?

Santayana himself needs some philosophy, because he needs to examine his own prejudices

  • "I can't take the teaching of philosophy seriously in itself, either as a means of being a philosopher or of teaching the young anything solid: they merely flirt with that for a year or two instead of flirting with something else. Philosophy is not a science; it might be a life or a means of artistic expression, but it is not likely to be either at an American college." -- George Santayana

  • Thanks a lot!^^
