Battlelore ist eine Metal-Band aus Finnland. Ihre Liedtexte befassen sich fast ausschließlich mit Ereignissen und Personen aus dem Tolkienschen Universum, der Fantasy-Welt des Autors J. R. R. Tolkien. Laut Jyri Vahvanen basiert der Bandname auf dem Hauptthema von Tolkiens Werk, den Schlachten (engl. battle) in Verbindung mit Folklore. Die Gruppe selbst bezeichnet ihre Musik als Epic Fantasy Metal.

Battlelore mixes female vocals with harsh male growling in "beauty and the beast" duet. The band's style takes elements from gothic metal, folk metal, power metal, melodic death metal, and, to a lesser extent, industrial music.
