Throughout the course of my life I have learned that nothing is impossible. The odds have been stacked against me since I was born half black and half Puerto Rican, to a 15-year-old single mother who had 3 kids before she was 20.
I was never supposed to succeed. I grew up in the South Bronx, one of the toughest neighborhoods in the country. I first learned how to survive and then thanks to my mom, step-dad, teachers and the Marine Corps I learned to succeed.
