BSG, That was my son back when he was 9 years old. That ball sits on the top of his shelf to this day, and was a great source of inspiration for him. (He wore #7 for the next 9 years) He was able to meet Trot back in 2005, where he got the ball signed. Trot was the heart and soul of the Red Sox.. Thanks for the great interview!

NIXON!!!!! omg BoSox 4ever......and btw i was 7 in 2004 and my dad always used to say, "hey jules, i want you to be like him, dirtiest batting helmet in the league." So now, before every at bat, i rub my white batting hemet in the dirt. Just for Trot.
