I have a first gen iMac G3 (the tray loader. older than the on in the video) and it boots OS 9.2 waaaayyy faster than that. It only takes about 2 seconds before I see the happy Mac, and about 20 seconds for the logon screen to appear. And maybe about 3 seconds for it to login.

well thats not fair seeing how as the prosesers are the same and os 9 takes less to get started. if you compared it with the computers of each time it would be different.

@slipfoot1 well OS X did beat out OS 9 in this case. And yea I know OS 9 was built for PPC and this version runs natively on intel so yea the gap would have been larger but OSX still beat out OS 9 and thats all i was comparing... The OS all others were constants
