Be VERY careful with the shoryuken, esp when you use the fierce. It's the best way to get killed playing as Ryu/Ken/etc. You just hang in the air forever and if you have an opponent who knows what he's doing he has all day to pick when to launch his counter assault that you won't be able to block because you've commit to the punch.
