OK, so we all know there were what these things called "formula songs" back in the 50s and 60s. This one is really cool. Instead of "Handyman" or "Handy Man", Jone's first big hits, they came up with this little jewel called Mr Fix It. A formula in the "title" and the song's formula is that of "Good Timin'"! I think this is wonderful.
@Multi1628 It's hard for me to satire Jimmy because I loved his stuff so much. Fortunately, a lot of stuff post Cub Records recordings have recently surfaced . Of course I'm not talking about his newer re-recorded stuff that I believe is still in print.

The flute was really cool, but the flute didn't help this song in 1963 - the formula kinda wore off for him by about 1961! Vee-Jay didn't even have this song as the "plug" side for radio stations (it was "No Insurance..."). Thank you for posting this historically interesting Jimmy Jones song - Happy New Year!! DAVEDJ
