The Unknown Singer-Can You Tell Me Who This Is?

I feel so incredibly ignorant, but my friend and I were in Washington DC in the American Art Museum and they were setting up the courtyard (which is very beautiful, if I might add) for an Inaugural Ball, and this woman came in for a sound check and everyone was taking her picture and getting overall very excited, but we had absolutely no idea who she was.

I only got a little bit of what she was singing but the song is "Amazing Grace." I don't know how well the quality will be online so fyi: she's got the kind of tan I wish I had and a sort of corn-rows and mohawk hair style happening.

I'd really appreciate any help I can get on this one.
