Thanks for the video, man, I own a copy of almost all of the games in this list (though I have played them all anyway, including the awful PowerF1), and it really brings back memories seeing how things changed over the years. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy them today as I did back then, but it doesn't matter, it's the memory that counts. Ah, I was so young, had nothing to worry about, just come back from school and drive a quick race on GP2 :) Have you played F1 2010 by Codemasters?

@rafaelpereira87 Nope, I haven't tried F1 2010 yet. The last F1 game I did was GTR-EVO with the MAK_Corp_F107 mod. Great fun to be driving F1 cars on non-F1 circuits for a change :)

fuk'n right! when i was young i always played grand prix circuit and then gp2 ...it was so realistic in 1995!! "I was so young, had nothing to worry about, just come back from school and drive".. a COMPLETE race on GP2.. 100% lenght ..all the championship.. then gp3 and then gp4.. these games have marked my adolescence .. dreaming of driving a real F1!

Great idea! Missing Revs... (perhaps in another clip with Silverstone ;)). I would cut/switch to several other games in one lap, to make the video shorter...

Grand Prix 1, Grand Prix 2, Grand Prix 3, F1RS from UBI Soft, F1RC (UBI), F1 2001 (EA) and Grand Prix 4, now THAT were sims!

EA wasn't there yet with F1 2000 and F1 Challenge 99-2002 is not so good as F1 2001.

Though I've played F12010, I still feel that F1 Challenge 99-02 is still more realistic in terms of physics and car settings. F12010 is too "arcade-ish"!

A great compilation and representative of the technical progression over the years.

I have, incidentally, ALL of those sims in my collection (plus several others, including the classic Grand Prix Legends) and have just recently reinstalled GP2 onto an old W98 laptop.

Nothing like a trip back in time. :)

Fantastic vid brings back memories of struggling to get DOS to load properly to let me play Grand Prix Circuit! I must agree with other posters to say it is an awful shame you left out the daddy of 'em all GP3! I think perhaps you should create a new video 6 laps in Monza in 18 years! Lets see you replace GP2 with GP3, lose both the abomination that is Power F1 and F12000 and replace with rFactor FSOne 2006 (the best rFactor mod) and the current best looking game F1 2011 in the wet!

I just did a few laps at Monza with my set-up in GP2. I exit Lesmo 2 at approx 250 kph in 4th, and I'm touching 330 kph in 6th by the braking zone at the end of that straight.  1m32 is an average lap for me.

You need to sort the gear ratios out in GP2. You shouldn't be hitting the limiter in 6th on the way down to the Ascari bends
