Uma verdade mais que inconveniente

Sinopse: Documentário que retrata as conseqüências do consumo da carne principalmente em relação ao meio ambiente, apontando a pecuária como o principal agravante do Aquecimento Global, até mesmo mais responsável pela devastação ambiental do que todos os meios de transporte do planeta juntos, segundo dados do IPCC (Painel Intergovernamental sobre Mudanças Climáticas). É uma resposta ao documentário "An Inconvenient Truth" (Uma Verdade Incoveniente), protagonizado por Al Gore, que trata de muitas causas do Aquecimento Global, mas que deixa a questão da pecuária de lado (por motivos políticos). Também aborda questões sócio-político-econômicas como a questão alimentar e surpreende quando prova que a pecuária é responsável direta pela fome no planeta. Assista e se surpreenda com o que somos capazes de prevenir apenas transformando nossos hábitos alimentares, mesmo que não completamente.

We got a lot of organizations here on Brazil that tries to stop with this consuming hunger of some corporations of taking control of our rainforest, but it is impossible to make a stand against them...and the population of North America and Europe just think that we are a bunch of fools....not like that. Everyone is responsible of what is happening, the Brazil governement and the world population.

This is incomplete information, they have lots of soy plantation in Brazil, but it's not brazilian people who owns them, it's people from Europe, USA and politicians - therefore - the richiest people in the world..

The carbon converted into oxigen by the amazon forest is laughable compared to the much greater amount oxigen produced by plankton from all seas. The Amazon forest is not the lungs of the planet, that is a misinterpretation. Listen to @MrGESS79. The situation is as bad as we are wanted to think. If you dont want shut the faucet while brushing your teeth, It's ok, the water is going back to treatement. You are NOT responsible for the massive water pollution of big companies, a real problem.

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization report in 2006 Livestock's Long Shadow, has been shown by Dr Frank Mitloehner, Ph.D from University of California. That the UN report was flawed, his presentation said that giving cows a bum rap is not only scientifically inaccurate, but also distracts society from embracing effective solutions to global climate change.

Pierre Gerbe of the UN Food and Ag Organization (FAO) and one of the 2006 report's authors, admits that the comparison was flawed.

global warming is an astronomical phenomena which occurs every certain amount of time, otherwise how come the rest of the planets in the solar system are getting hotter?. This is just a lie to impose tax on developing countries and poor people. that's all the so called "regulations" look how much energy does alghore wastes in his mansion, the novel price winner.

As I see, the base of the problem is over population of human kind. I'm doing my part by not having kids. It amazes me that people still reproduce in a world where, clearly, we have run out of space, destroyed the environment, and are running out of resources. It blows my mind even more that parents don't even care to teach their kids about living green and responsibly. Humans deserve what they will get.
