Dear Rajesh, It is the passion, It is written in the bible Jesus has to die between earth and the sky and it is the symbol for salvation, I was an hindu for 30 years, Me and my family were saved through Jesus Christ we are alive today for the sake of his amazing grace and Jesus is the name of the Lord as an Hindu I used to worship the Creation rather than worshipping the Creator of heaven and earth and us, Bible is true word of God and I request you to read it and understand the real truth.

for me cross saved us and its kind of like a victory symbol but i don't know what other denominations believe. I know for a fact protestants don't have cross..
