  • @matrixfan127 It really all depends where the main electricity source was too. Who knows, the Titanic could have sunk with the lights on...and then the power shut off but that would be highly unlikely..

  • The lights didn't go out until after the 2nd Funnel fell... But the rest is awesome!

  • @matrixfan127 I am a LITTLE mistaken

    The lights were starting to flash before the break-up , but they have shut down permanently a little before the break-up.

  • The lights probably Did go off around the time the first funnel went off, not as it broke in half. It's really James Cameron who was really mistaken.

  • This theory is now mostly disproven, the new model for explaining the sinking is much better and relies on an appreciation of how a ship like titanic acts when broken in half... it breaks from bottom up not top up.
