this is one of the few levels that stands out to me, cuz it was my first time seeing the chainsaw man(cuz i somehow beat the first level w/o encountering him)..it was also the frst time my head was chainsawed off

Well it is possible to avoid the first two (yes TWO! One activated when you enter the two-story house and the other will wait for you at the area's exit to keep you from cheating.) You simply have to kill fifteen to twenty (I can't remember right now, I'm tired) villagers without activating either chainsaw-guy, and you will escape with your head still on. It's better to fight at least one of them because they drop cash/rubies when they die.
