  • Definitely. CNC programmers are used extensively. More and more they are doing their programming using CAD/CAM software like MasterCAM, GIbbsCAM, Unigraphics, and so on.

  • Learn to upload a youtube video before trying to teach people how to do advanced programming. Lol

  • Programmers should be around for several more years. I definitely agree with the video when it says you need to know the code. I haven't seen a perfect post processor come right out of the box... Ever... Not even the ones I've written myself. So you have to be able to read EIA code to know if the output is good.

  • Are cnc programmers still being used? I have 3 years of experience on the manual mill and the lathe but not so much for CNC...

  • Like this comment if you thought CNC meant "Command and Control."

  • I bought one of these books on Ebay a couple years back. He makes it sound like he makes it easy to learn, but it isn't any better than other methods. I did pick up a trick or two though.
