@zacharyworr - exactly - it's only when a Coyote is seen that it makes news in the btig city... considering that they live on the outskirts in good numbers - they probably dip in and out of town without being noticed all the time. I've seen one in the Bronx before.

aren't there coyotes in Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx?? I actually saw one a week ago only 5 miles across the Bronx border in Westchester. In the past I've seen one on the Bronx River Parkway. Coyotes are very smart... they are around much more than they are spotted. I'm sure some ppl have just thought they were stray dogs.
