Roger Hubbard, one of the best bluesmen, slide guitarists, singer / songwriters in Sussex, plays a "live" gig as guest of the monthly Brighton Folk and Blues Club on 2nd April 2010 at The Open House, formerly The Springfield, Springfield Road, Brighton, East Sussex. This 10 minute video aptly demonstrates Roger's musical talent especially his widely acclaimed slide guitar playing. Check out Roger's website at www.rogerhubbard.co.uk where you will see details of him and his Sussex blues band Buick 6. If you haven't caught one of Roger's "live" gigs hopefully this video will encourage you to do so!
Check out Buick 6 his great band and Sammy Mitchell for his slide too as well as Chicken Skin Music Ry Cooder.Glad to see he is still with us , enjoyed many a Blues Festival.,

Roger at the Springfield - just like the old days. I went to Margate on the train in the early 70s to get a Levin just like Rogers, but I couldn't play like him. I must play the LP again tomorrow.
Great to see this excellent guitarist on a quality video.
