ASH made his wrestling debut in 1999 in the WWE, taking on the role of a prankster not to be taken seriously. He quit after a year of portraying a ridiculous character and disappeared from the wrestling scene. He re-emerged in 2008, signing with TNA and taking on a more personal role, which the crowd welcomed and developed a strong following relatively quickly.

He left TNA (along with his partner Fox) within a year citing irreconcilable creative differences with management. He signed with WWE immediately after being guaranteed creative freedom and has flourished on the ECW brand.

Fox broke into the world of wrestling by signing a developmental contract with the WWE back in 1999 and made his debut in OVW. He made his televised debut in 2000, displaying technical prowess and a high risk nature. He was sidelined with a debilitating injury later that year and wasn't expected to return to wrestling.

However, he made an unexpected return in 2005 and went on to win the WWE title. He left the WWE in 2007 to sign with TNA and formed a Tag Team with ASH. But, after encountering irreconcilable creative differences with management, he abruptly left the company and re-signed with WWE after being guaranteed creative freedom. Both he and ASH have flourished on ECW.
