@muglasduglas - Thanks for kind words!! I started with the 3/4 ostinato years ago, inspired by Neil Peart's work with it and yes, Max Roach. Peart began incorporating it in his solo in the mid 90's and it has evolved into a monster where he is completely free to go with his hands wherever he wants on top of the 3/4 pulse. It was tough at the beginning so I suggest just starting out with snare work over it and go from there. I love to use it to get the limbs working. I will post more soon!

Dude, very very good work. I kow that took alot of shedding to get down. I am just starting to try this ostinato. I can do some basic things over top..very basic. Can you share how you go to this point? Any tips u can share? I assume u know this is the Max Roach classic.
