This was the last single released from the "Grrr .... It's Betty Boo" album and although bit had lots of airplay on Uk national radio it wasn't that big a hit (at least I bought it!), anyway I havn't seen it up here for a while so I thouht i' add it.

Betty (Alison) is truly gorgeous and like other contemporaries (Cathy Dennis) was underappreciated at the time by some.
Now, drowning in X Factor pap, the individuality and sheer creative chutzpah and daring of her music just leaps out at you.
Lily Allen and others "owe" Betty I think.
Any record company people reading, please bring out a new Betty Boo "Best Of" this time using the "Grrr! It's Betty Boo!" tracks as well as the debut album.

Thanks a bunch for posting this up, I bought the single and CD way back then, it was a crime it didn't do better. I still remember her playing this live, I think, on Saturday morning kids TV in an incredibly sexy outfit (considering it was Going Live or something!). Suffice to say it was a thin outfit and a cold studio - need I say more! Now THAT would be a video worth hosting!

The apperance you're thinking of was on the Disney Club on a sunday morning, she was wearing a thick wooly jumper and they changed the line "They told me he got horny at anything in a skirt" to "They warned me when they told me dragged his face through the dirt".... which looked funny as she started to mime the original lyric then smiled and carried on, i have it on vhs somewhere i'll have to dig it out one day.
