ya, it's for a showreel but it is still an ad - so what neothespian said still applies. it's the wrong kind of funny and it just makes the product look stupid. the little joke is tired before we even get to the punchlne, which turns out to be lame. the idea is just weak. BUT, the direction, editing and timing is PERFECTION. it's actually a really shit ad, but beautifully made. hopefully it wasn't the directors idea, but some coked-out creative. showreel? i wouldn't without a LOT of explanation.
