  • where do I get the free radio I want one

  • @Jackwillis258 the mods and everything else on this radio cost just about 150.00 dollars in parts and labor ,no other radio in its class can compare without spending lots of money on a bigger radio or amplifiers . thank you

  • yea i wouldn't think the radio led's should dim down that much unless you need to upgrade your power cord and boost up that power supply and really all that work for 75 watts??? seams over rated miss those old 2sc1969 a alot easier to me lol

  • @allenward69 a bigger power cord is needed 8 to 10 amp power supply is then good and changing the regulator in the radio will give it better results and less dimming as well . this is a start . take care

  • I've got a Cobra 18 WX ST. Great radio, im thinking about buying a new one here soon tho, any ideas what to get?

  • i would suggest a cobra 25 or cobra 29 ltd classic both easy to tune up and many upgrades can be done , if size is limited , get the cobra 25 , you can see what i mean by my post . thank you

  • d11 limiter or vr4 for cobra 29

  • yes i do get flack sometimes untill they need there radio fixed . thanks again

  • Do you ever get flack from the older hams because you work on CB radios????

  • HOW do u fix the swr meter light? mine is out. and can u give me the number/letters for the modulation pot? thanks!

  • FCC will get your radio LOL

  • why didnt you show or prove it dose 75 watts ? A lot of swing ? You have got to be joking.

  • Yea I never recommend rfx 75 once you drill the holes you have a junk 29 also you cant run a 1 to 4 pill amp anymore so whats the point for 3/4 of an s unit. I dont think so

  • i had a rfx75 put on my 29. the radio did even last 3 months....and when it was "working" it sounded like shit!

  • Where can i get a radio like that? i just brought a cobra 29 classic. hooked it up right out the box. works just fine but would like to have a little more power.

  • Nice rig. I keep my Galaxy DX99V for my main rig. That's my favorite. I like the 75 watt amp for sure. A lot of folks like to just have one loud clear CB with no box to fool with. I keep a steady supply of 2SC1969 final transistors and 2SC2166 drivers in stock. Very hard to come by but this guy I know has his own little company in England. $8 for the 1969 and $5.50 for the 2166. Many many installs and never a fail. Most Cobras can get 5-7 swinging 30-35 easy.
