MATT GFELLER East- RJR rivals pay tribute to fallen HS football player 8-29-08

MATT GFELLER- RJ Reynolds High met East Forsyth High on the same field in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where RJR had played the week before when Matt Gfeller was fatally injured.

WXII's Dave Goren and Craig Thomas hosted a special edition of High School Playbook on the Pigskin Patio after this very special game with both teams and coaches present to honor sophomore Matt Gfeller.

brain damage. too much blood had drained onto the brain creating too much pressure because of a ruptured blood vessel. His body was fit, even in the hospital, which is why he stayed alive as long as he did; he was perfectly healthy except for his brain
