In Canada, natives are given free post secondary education, treaty cheques etc. Here in Manitoba, the native reserves are all gone to shit, the government gives band leaders money and it gets spent elsewhere. The rez's here are all full of poverty, dunno how it is in Illinois

The reservations were not a benefit, it was basically saying, hey how about you go and make a home out of land with un rich soil and your childrens shall suffer for many generations and become top suicide rates in the country while we destroy many more native cultures? My family literally has never recieved a check from the government, we don't get scholarships and there is no benefits.
