A video on our troops and the body armor they wear. Shots of a soldier that gets shot by a sniper, gets knocked down, and gets right back up and searches for his assailant. Awsome life save because of the body armor he was wearing.

  • Fuck the shoulder pads and shit , Mobility over armor any day

  • @MrMagicbean5 until the guy next to you steps on a landmine.. Search "ISAF soldier steps on land mine" on this channel and see why armor is a really good idea. Guy less than 10 feet from a landmine going off and he is unhurt except for the ringing in the ears..

  • How is ceramic so tough?? I've seen it break so easily but I've been told it is in armor plating?

  • @TipperarySoul23 When we say ceramic it means actually a composite material made out of several things. Armor is just a term, I wear body armor, its not metal but made of kevlar and other materials. The military version has ceramic plates and kevlar and other materials mixed in. Its just a term.

  • Something that they have been working on and I have seen being tested is liquid body armor. Its very cool stuff, stay flexible and fluid until its hit by something, then hardens faster than the object can penetrate it. Amazing stuff is going on in this field.

  • For every advancement in body armor their is a new bullet threat to defeat it.

  • Our boys deserve only the best. Dollars spent in the prevention of US deaths overseas ensures those men have the ability to return to their families in one peice.

  • But dragon skin is better. Why don't multibillion $ corperations like mc Donald's or like the NFL donate enough for the best gear currently available or research into better gear for our troops? After all American multibillion $ corporations have who to thank for protecting their country while they prosper? The military of the United States of America.

  • Interceptor body armor is hella intimidating

  • @3rdID8487 That stuff is so cool! My physics teacher had a ball full of liquid and the more kinetic enery it had the harder it was, you could squeeze it completely but if thrown it was dangerous. I can't wait to see how that turns out!

  • Of all the things our leaders waste money on, we should already have soldiers in mech suits by now. Why dont we spend some of the money that is going to foreign aid on armoring our troops better. PS Dragonskin is awesome but it would not be tactically wise to outfit troops in armor our weapons cannot penetrate, as soon as some were lost in the field they would be very dangerous if our enemies had them.
