Lake Trout Fly Fishing with Pat Regan

This lovely English lake frequently provides exciting rainbow trout on the fly. Although the one in this video only weighed around three pounds I was fortunate enough to once catch the largest recorded specimen herein, which weighed eight pounds and twelve ouches. Most of my sport is however undertaken on the streams with dry fly.

Sea trout will sometimes take fry patterns so try them.

@mtbking21 You should try some wooly buggers with a gold bead Try to go for the colours white,yellow,purple,black,brow­n and olive. Or a estaz streamer just a marabou tail a3,8mm gold bead and a body of estaz which is matching the colour of the tail. Or if there rising a BWO foam hoppers foam mosquitos (hawthorn) or an adams. With the streamers just cast out and retrieve. With the dry fly cast a foot front of the fish and let it just sit. and after 10 sec figure retreive slowly

hey ive been fly fishing for alot of bass all along the east coast. i noticed there were lots of trout rising as well but the wouldnt go for the bass poppers i was using. Have any ideas on what fly patterns i should use?
