No, Tom Lucca was the main actor for Jud. He was the first Jud on the national tour, and was offered the part for the second, but decided not to continue after the first year long tour was over. He went on to do John Patrick Shanley's off Broadway musical Romantic Poetry Last year.

If this was the National Tour, I think the Jud here is the understudy.

If this is the national tour, I believe the man playing Jud is Tom Lucca. I saw this show on Mother's Day (yes, I took my mom)...and Jesus tap dancing Christ, did Mr. Lucca have Jud nailed. HIs version of "Lonely Room" scared the living daylights out of at least 2/3 of the audience.
