The majority tends to cause a fuss when things are going to shit, but then cause an even bigger fuss when someone actually tries to do something about it. I would like to stop being ashamed of being an American citizen. I feel that's actually a possibility now. Bush fucked the country up, plain and simple. Embrace change, the opportunity for change, the will, whatever you want to call it. The country needs it.

you keep saying "YET" hes working on it just be patient hes do wonders im sure or it!!!

true. lets wait and see what he does... i agree with what you said...

Isn't it amazing is what GWB accomplished? His party and himself has pushed this country so far back socially it's disgraceful. Imogen Heap did not paint him as a Messiah (if that's what you believe in), she was simply making a very creative statement. How many other people chanted McCain? How many people at political rallies across the country chanted racist statements? This country and the world needs what Obama brings to the table. There's bigger picture here and you've totally missed it.

GWB has not done one thing for the average American citizen. I give him credit for nothing positive. And the surge? It is tantamount to spilling a pile of dirt on a spotless tile floor, then after years of walking over the dirt, finally making a clean spot in the middle of it and saying, "Look what I've done! It's better, you see?" So, NO, the surge isn't a good thing. We HAVE seen the results of Bush's failed policies already, and we will be experiencing more of those results after he's gone.

Yeah, i dont think we have seen the results of Bush's policies yet. I mean, other than the Iraq war, he hasnt had control over the other problems of this country. And if you had not noticed, his surge in Iraq is making it safer for civilians and our troops. Isn't that a good thing?

this is very well spoken and very gentleman-like
and i agree with you

I think you're a brilliant man for being able to apologise for something like that. Not many people these days have the manners nor guts to do so.
I also understand your opinion too, what with more recent track records, it's fair play for people to be skeptical. All we can all do is hope for the best.
After 8 years of the worst president ever, I think that many people are excited to simply get something new and different in the white house. GWB has been an embarrassment, not only in this country, but world-wide. Simply put, it is refreshing to have a president who can actually speak in complete sentences when not following a script. John McCain would have also been an improvement, in that sense. Kudos on the apology. :)

What a nice chap, fair play for the apology, although I'm sure Immi didn't take any offence, she's pretty laid back!
