The new Unicat 2.4m dinghy is designed for use as a tender or for fishing.

The inverted vee hull gives great stability without sacrificing performance under oars or motor.

The Unicat carries 3 adults safely and has built in reserve bouyancy. Watertight storage is provided in the seats for items such as keys and cellphones.

Stitch and tape plywood construction is lightweight, easy to build, and gives a long lasting boat.

Plans available now, only $150 (nz) $100.65 (us)

  • Nasty little boat. Sorry!

  • @alectraproject What do you find so nasty? So far it has proven to be a highly practical, and safe way to transport people and gear. Unicat's row easily, motor quickly, carry up to 3 people, and now there is even a sailing version. So far over 30 of these boats have been sold worldwide and I have recieved much positive feedback from owners.

  • I think it's a nice little utility dinghy, you will never see a traditional pram with that much initial stability, which is what small composite dinghy's lack, initial stability is what keeps the little bastard from rolling when you step from the side onto the dock or a larger craft. Nice design!

  • @catalina31768 I am imagining it...sinking...

  • Imagine that thing with a Mercury 200 on it.
