  • @Nahtahani my Grandfather served as groundcrew for 301 and 303 sqd in the run up to and during the B.o.B. He said they were the bravest fliers he had ever known, and to this day he holds a great respect for the Polish people - I only found out a while back he had learnt pretty good Polish from them during his time, as he (at the age of 90!!) began chatting up a very attractive Polish waitress in a cafe. Typical RAF. He's dying of cancer now, and I will make sure my kids hear his stories too.

  • The Poles had strong reasons to hate the Bosch for what they were doing in Poland, and they tore into them like bloody tigers. I still regard Poles with great respect for what they did during the war. Damn fine show. It was good to have them with us, and I salute them.

  • this clip may of been the reason why a landing gear buzzer was installed on later models lol

  • @TopGunSGA

I knew about the original music that wasnt suitable, i didnt know about the dvd option.

I have to say I def think they made a good choice with rejecting it :)

  • @notsureyou It's the original score to the movie by Sir William Walton. His score was found to be unsuitable for the movie so Ron Goodwin was brought it. The only part of the movie score to be carried over after Goodwin took over was "Battle in the Air"

The special edition DVD has as an audio option the Walton score for the entire movie

  • Whats with the music??? Ive never heard that back ground music in this scene before. confussed I am :(

i couldnt find the original comment to which you are responding, but I thought that while Britain and America were friendly leading up to the war, Lend lease was something that came in in 1941 when Britain ran out of money, and as part of the agreement Britain gave America all the technology that they were working on such as RADAR (the Brits were ahead of the Americans in development at this point) and quite a few other things.

  • 4 bandits,12 O'clock high!

  • @grobo11 You are typical imperial liar!!!!

  • @darkmossie633 Let's see statistics, be honest small amount of polish pilots shoot down confirmed!! 45% of all german aircraft in the Battle of Britain. So, no matter how many of them fighted. They are brilliant and British Nation had amazing support to won the battle

  • @IanHawthornThain hehe too bad allies sold us to stalin. after that we were considered as a burden and unwelcome. whenever it comesto telling stories nobody remebrs that part.cheers to that
