This photo from the Hubble Space Telescope, presented at the 2006 General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union in Prague, shows a star forming region in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC). This sharp image reveals a large number of low-mass infant stars coexisting with young massive stars.
I also had only heard of Fasch but wasn't familiar with any of his work. After hearing the trumpet concerto on a Ludwig Guttler CD I received, I searched for more and found this and also Wynton Marsalis playing his trumpet concerto - both are now on my 'most wanted' thanks :)
I am no classical buff but beginning to learn and this sounds very much like Vivaldi to my inexperienced ear.

I've never heard of Fasch until today! This is great! Thank you for this obscure jewel :)

I love this concerto by Fasch, and admire the man's music generally. It's a pity you did not post the following two movements. Thanks for this segment though.
