Key point: Scripture points us to repent and believe in Jesus. If the Holy Spirit convicts you to do so, then do so!

  • @crossallegiance thank you! I'll check it out.

  • I believe repentance means this: Admitting that you are a guilty hell deserving sinner before the lord and then turning to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins(believing in the gospel ). ultimately leading to a change of heart; having God over sin.

  • Repentance = turning 180 degrees. We follow after sin before turning to Jesus. God's work of grace through faith brings salvation, and His goodness leads us to repentance. They go hand-in-hand. James is right, too, that was an appositive/parallel statement. Repentance is dear to God's heart.

  • It's called an appositive. When we repent from following after our sin, we turn to Jesus. He highlights that through several videos. It's pretty Scriptural, see if Jesus says to "repent" at any time in Luke 13

  • @jameskmacdonald I turned on CC and according to it he said: "We need to repent, we need to turn away from our sins, and we need to believe in Jesus and cherish Him".

Again, I have a problem with the way it is presented. Have a nice day.

  • @FORMETOKNOWONLY I did not hear this, even after hearing it again? He says that you need to repent (as Jesus and the prophets and the apostles all stated), AKA turn from your sins and instead put your faith in Jesus.

  • minute 5:17 is why I didn't accept your friend invite "you need to repent and TURN FROM YOUR SINS before you accept Jesus".

  • lol hes got his own ministry goin on like Kenneth Copeland and Jesse duplantis and etc...lol God bless man.
