Ice Blink is the remarkable story of a conventional family of five living a very unconventional life afloat. Follow Dave and Jaja Martin, and their crew of three children from their beginnings aboard a 25-foot day sailor circumnavigating the globe to their most recent voyage on a 33 foot steel sloop to the Arctic. There they encounter new friends, icebergs, and polar bears. Share the Martins' voyage into opportunities that test their physical and mental limits... discover that self-sufficiency is the key to survival... and that the rewards of the world can be had with a commitment to family, a simple lifestyle, and the courage to choose differently. Ice Blink is a film by Gregory Roscoe, Seaworthy Productions, Falmouth Maine.

  • How wonderful this life is....I grew up around sailing, and for me, the weekends away on the boat have always been very fond mermories. I noticed the name of the boat coming from Oriental, NC. I grew up sailing the waters of the Neuse River and Palmico Sound, therefore, both of you have sailed the same waters as I when I was a young child. Wonderful lifestyle. Thank you.

  • I saw this special on PBS last night, too, and was very intrigued. What a great family with a great perspective on what's really important in life.

  • I watched this today, some very interesting timings... I ran into a note I wrote myself while cleaning up my room "Go SAILING!" and an email I wrote to myself said "I love sailing" along with a bunch of scanned letters from my CC expulsion.

    Weird, I've never gone sailing...

  • I saw this video last night on public television. What a great family. Both parents have so much insight. I enjoyed it.

  • Wow! Great video, Your children are blessed to have such caring parents. It must be like living a dream for them. I can not wait to buy and watch

    the DVD. Thank you.
