Nicklas Lindberg of the Port Huron Icehawks Faking out Kalamazoo Goaltender Joel Martin during a Shootout in Port Huron, April 7, 2009 I misspelled Nick's name in the Video. So I just wanted to point out that, It's Nicklas and not Niklas. My mistake, none the less the goal was amazing!!

Nice goal by Lindberg. Like to give props to an IHL player too.
But Omark's goal is better because the goalie actually made a great play to stick with him. Makes Omark that much better because he actually had to do something amazing to get the puck by him. In the Lindberg goal, Martin has slow reaction time and should have and would have stopped it had he been in the right position.
you call being down with your blocker touching the ice seconds before the shot a great way to stop a rainbow shot over your shoulder?! that goalie fucked up against omark. major fail! this goalie used the knob end to stop it too early. if you at this video closer you'll notice he would have stopped it he didn't have to retract his arm, because as you said, he was a bit off position. but that swiss goalie didn't read that play at all.
You are allowed to bring the puck behind you, as long as it's still working in a forward motion towards the goal. Same thing if you're making a move going into the zone with the puck backwards. It's still a legal move because the player has full control of the puck. If he lost control of it when he made the move, yes, it would have been blown dead. Maybe you should brush up on your hockey knowledge.
