gumbostro, I think if Jerry were here he'd have a bigger problem with war for profit. Not to mention that parousia is absolutely right anyway. The Dead were never about politics and even now, they have every right to endorse whom they want, like Ted Nugent has to endorse any gun-slinging whacko de jour as well. In fact, We're all socialists, we only vary by degree.
You profit from a degree of socialism without which it would be IMPOSSIBLE for you to operate in the capacity you currently do. Not even close.
You just need to come to grips with your own socialist tendencies.
I believe there are therapists that specialize in helping socialists such as you cope with their own self denial.
Until you seek the help you need, the rest of us will gently prod you toward the light.

I have lost so much respect for the remaining members of the Grateful Dead! I love the Dead (in terms of their music) as much as anyone. It saddens me so much that they have decided to endorse such a leftist as is Obama. They have completely segregated themselves from many of their loyal fans just because some of us don't beleive in socialism and paying out the ass in taxes! What an insult. If you don't trust the gov't, why vote for liberals who will increase it? Jerry would've never done this!
