In this video you'll see how to install and adjust the Dillon powder check system on a Dillon XL-650 progressive reloading press that's setup to load 45ACP ammunition. When you use this powder check system, you don't have to worry about running out of powder, a faulty powder charge, a squib load (no powder), and most importantly a double charge. Check out all of the free reloading videos and resources on www.ultimatereloader.com

  • have you ever tried to detect a slight overcharge? (not just double charges) Such as if you have a 10-25% overcharge. And how about slight undercharges like 10-25% less than you wanted, instead of just testing on an empty case. Thanks.

  • @DTMB87 The 650 comes with an ejection ramp, it fit's on the top of the mount.

But you need some elevation for the bin, which you get with the strongmount.

If you can get the elevation through another mount, it will also work.

look for teh dillon 650 parts list on Dillons website, it's the lower machine assembly

  • how did you attach your bin on the side? Dillon's website says you need the strong mount to have the bullet tray and brass bin mounted. I see you worked around this problem.

  • genius

  • Does this system work with other presses (like the Hornady LNL Progressive press)? An audible sound would be much nicer then having to watch a level come up to a certain point. Theres already enough to watch for.

  • ★★★★★ツ

  • what is the plus or minus once it set

  • What a workstation!

  • can you come to my house and help me set up my press?
