@ChainsawRaptor definateley march thru may and july thru august. i live down here and march thru may is long waves and july thru august are just straight up big waves. my record in gulf shores for the biggest wave on a skimboard is seven foot and that was last august

What is the ideal time to go to the gulf for skim? I live in Georgia and I only get to get out 2-3 times a year but every time I go all the waves barely make it to shore and just sit in one spot and rolls over itself. So when you reach it you just smash into it and sink.
