More thrift shop madness. I picked up a pair of small Lloyd's speakers: model W020. They are feather weight light and have a 5" full range driver in there. They sound just-ok, not that great. Woofercooker track makes these just pop and click, lol. They came with those awful foam-type non-removable grills. Power? ...maybe 10 watts max!

  • I like the music, what are the names?

  • 1. I Love Big Speakers by Bassboy

    2. Ripple in Time by Sleepy Bright Eyes.

You can DL both on your iTunes. :)

  • Look what they're done. They attached the speaker in from the inside. After I bashed open the cabinet, I found out they were glued, not screwed, GLUED, to the front board.

Needless to say, I proceeded to laugh the evening away. :)

  • ...hahaha xD nice old speaker :D

  • Lol my bassreflex hole is bigger then your speaker

  • Instead of just simply using 3 small pieces of Velcro, the manufacturer decided to use 1 ounce of glue for the grill.

... which is why these speakers are being made: HORRIBLE manufacturing and HORRIBLE price control.

  • @EdmDude

LOL, long throw. "a reliable 0.05 mm of excursion will have the bass pumping!"

  • I wonder what it would be like to put some small woofers and cone tweeters in a cheap speaker, and some polyfill?

  • Sweet! Some of the speakers I had didin't even have boxes, but That was when I didn't know jack shit about speakers lol. My receiver was a KOS (POS) but whst was weird about it was it had an EQ, even for the midrange =O.

  • I know.

When i was a 10-12 and into my Teen years, I was running an old Realistic amp with a set of Scott speakers on the A side, and a set of Telefunken speakers on the B side, running all four sounded awesome. My friends all thought i had the most badass system! lol

  • I had a bunch of speakers like that set up in veryous places in my room, kinda like poor mans surround sound. But That whas when I was 7, no I am 16 and have 2 big ass speaker and I fried the cheap ones.
