C130 - US Air Force- with skis at Air Base Whenuapai 1998..mpg

On September 25, 1998 a US Air Force C130 fitted with skis visited RNZAF Base Whenuapai, Auckland New Zealand. This A/C from Albany, New York, USA , flew over a small village named Albany, Auckland on the approach to Whenuapai.This was the first visit of a US Air Force A/C to Whenuapai for many years after the ban on US Nuclear ships visits to New Zealand.
