No sweetheart it really doesn't. Can a dead person chose to be resurrected? Did Lazarus have a choice to either stay dead or come alive? Did Jesus ask him what he would like to do? Once a person sins, they are spiritually dead. They have no choice in the matter. God decides who to revive by His Sovereign choice. John6:44&65 tell us that one is unable to come to Jesus unless granted by God. So it is not by our choice but by His.

This is a great video, succinctly and easily describing the work of Salvation wrought in a dead sinner by a God who chose His people before the foundation of the world. This God quickened us to life, He converted our sorry souls, brought us to repentance and caused us to believe. He now sanctifies us, causing us to perservere in the works He has foreordained for us to do in Him.
Who can deny a God who is all in all and who does as He pleases for His glory and the good of those He has rescued.
