  • After 3 years of trying to concieve, three miscarriages, a husband deployment, a divorce, I am now pregnant and this baby seems to be sticking around!! wow. Im 13 weeks and baby is wiggling and growing away!!

  • @TheTurnersJourney WOW, what a journey you've been on. Glad to hear that your baby is doing well. XOXO.

  • Cosleeping is normal. We are the only animal species who puts their babies in cribs, away from their mothers. All other animals, especially mammals, sleep close to their babies because that's what's meant to be.

  • @happytreebabe Good points.

  • I just bought the arm's reach co-sleeper bassinet for my baby who is due in 4 weeks! I would be to worried to have him sleeping in my bed this way it gives me the convenience of being right next to him without the worry of rolling on him. Those ads are taking it a little far but they are sure to get there points across!

  • @thismamascoop I had the mini co-sleeper and LOVED it. Congrats on your baby to be!!!! PLEASE, let me know when you deliver as I'd love to announce in our show. XOXO.

  • I began co-sleeping with my DS when he was born. IN THE HOSPITAL. He did not go to the nursery. He never slept outside of our bed. He is 4 and still sleeps with us. I feel more comfortable with him CLOSE to me, so I can hear him, and know that he is okay. I am a very light sleeper, so it was a comfort to me to know he wasn't afraid, or lonely, or anything like that. It was much easier to night time breastfeed when we coslept.

  • Co-sleeping is not for our family but I deeply respect and admire the choice of other families. As far as safety aspect I think it really depends. I think that the parent is certainly able to determine that. Co-sleeping definitely CAN be safe and it's also incredibly rewarding and the best choice for some families. That being said, obviously people who take drugs or have sleeping issues that could put the baby in danger shouldn't because it isn't safe.

  • I was very blessed in that when we were having babies and we were breastfeeding, my partner in love AND parenting would get up, and bring baby to me, most times baby slept with us though and geez back then we caught hella crap for it.

  • I think co-sleeping is safe, if done properly. No huge heavy blankets, not too many pillows, parents who do not use drugs, alcohol, or smoke cigarettes. More babies die in cribs every year than in bed with responsible parents. Our baby has always had his own bed in our room, but he has napped in bed with us many times.

  • co slept with my baby for three months... in bed. whew that was stressful for me! was thinking of side carring this time!

  • I have co-slept with all four of my boys....I have done a ton of research lately, but it always felt natural.

  • I think cosleeping CAN be safe. I never planned to but my son was in my bed day 1 till almost 3 months.after 6 weeks my husband was deployed so it was just us two. Although my dogs sleep in the bed as well. We used blankets, had pillows, but he was down so neither were near his face.

  • i love co sleeping with my baby girl but i dont like to leave her in the bed alone with my hubby i fear he will roll over her or she will fall out of the bed i have a co sleeper but our bed is small and it dose not fit and she loves to sleep close to momma
