As a 10 yr old kid when this song came out I always pictured a "Ceylon Warrior" from Battlestar Galactica making the announcements during this song :0 }

Let's just say I've been learning about Russia from 1881-1953 in History so this song may have cropped up 1 or 200000000000000 times :L <3 it sooooooooo much! :D

The 70's were a disco/dance/rock party full of drugs, booze, fun, and humor! Happy times!

My mother owned a copy of the LP of this song.. As a kid this song used to scare me to death would run from the room when it was played... It was years later when my dad told me that I was my middle name Nickolas was in honor of Czar Nickolas II who's wife is referenced in "Rasputin" so I have come to really like it now as an adult.. Go figure..

Love it! I had the original tape in Pakistan, but had to buy it after a long wait when it became available on iTunes... I even learned to play Rasputin on my Casio keyboards. Didn't know the gent had died. RIP. Great fun, great music even 33 years later. Thank you.
....deadly....sounds wicked on good home stereo....

I was a teenager in the 1970's and I remember Boney M, they had many hit songs back then. They were very famous in Germany and UK. They took a trip to the Soviet Union in 1977 or 1978 and the "Soviets" had entered musically into the 1970's with the help of Boney M (lol). I liked them 30+ years ago, I still like them now. Talent like this we don't see it nowdays.
