Man, how I wanted a '77 or '78 Trans Am! In 1981 I had a black '78 4 speed t-top T/A picked out used at a Toyota dealer...I was 19 yrs old. I could afford the car payment, but not the car and the insurance. Automatic "high risk" car for a 19 year old male. I wanted an "F" body, so I settled for a '78 Camaro, black, automatic, no t-tops, 305 V-8. I had to add the 3 piece factory rear spoiler. This I could afford. It wasn't a T/A, but I still felt pretty cool.

im 14 and the 3rd gen firebird is my favorite car ever. i am determined to have one as my first car 2 years from now. i dont care if it is missing a floor and the thing barely runs i still will own one. id prefer a trans am or a gta but even a regular firebird would be fine.
