Not really that simple. The german government sees RUF as a stand alone maker. That's why we could have RUFs in Gran Turismo even thou the license to have Porsches in video games where owned by Electronic Arts.

it is a modified version but still a porsche. Nothing but the samething as the SVT Cobra. A tuned version of the mustang.
