I think the horse is a smart-ass--how is that not loveable contrast? I only caught one episode one night on Qubo, and even though I was weirded out by the idea, the horse was awesome.

What we consider "out of left field" today was simpy the way of thinking back then: new ideas left and right. Today entertainment industries simply rehash the same concepts and worlds with a new coat of paint and googly eyes glued on.

Not entirely their fault, you can only do so much before "new ideas" have already been done before, but still. Sometimes I feel like they're not even trying anymore (Hollywood and Video Game companies being the big offenders here, TV's STILL got some originality.)

WHAT THE EFF WAS I WATCHING AS A KID??? I completely forgot this existed until someone worked the theme into a cartoon medley. Never batted an eye at how completely out of left field a show about a superpowered native american cowboy in outer space with a transforming, talking robot horse is.
