  • is it just me or does it sound like someone's breathing in the background?

  • You are right, there is a type of hiss, I noticed this myself, probably due to recording techniques of the time.

  • It's such an old video, that I think that hissing noise is just the acoustics of the video itself. Or maybe it happened that way when he transferred it over to YouTube.

  • No it's actually on the video itself. In fact I'm think I haave a program that can edit the hiss out. ithink it might be due to over sensitive microphone picking up an external noise or the hiss of the bow on the strings.

  • How absolutely lovely. So delicate. Id it not a shame that children tod ay do not have music appreciateion lessons in Middle and high school. Instead they are taught gaming and how to shoot weapons. What a waste of the fine things in life

  • Well, i did not had music appreciation lessons at school, i love gaming and shooting as many monsters as possible in a blood bath. I also like electronic and metal music. But i still listen this kind of music everyday. I d say that you may think about the fact that there is no more parental music appreciation, not sosciety one

  • @DrMontague "Some of the truly noteworthy innovations in games shape our experience by creating empathy and stronger connections among players. These games belong in the pantheon of great art forms that can inspire us to be better people and change how we think of ourselves."

    - Prof. Katherine Isbister

  • @DrMontague they actually recommend surgeons to play video games because it improve hand/eye coordination - gaming exposes young and old to all genres of music (modern games encorporate entire orchestras, bands, etc even with some of modern days greatest musical minds/composers.]-they relieve stress & make one think and use the problem solving parts of the brain;now days games also more social than ever ; I have made life-long friends i met over the internet ; games are best in moderation..

  • @DrMontague researchers have said that one of the breakthrough ideas in combating stress/other mental disturbances was manipulating heart rate variability. Different emotions seem to produce heart rhythm "signatures,". Companies such as HeartMath, of Boulder Creek, Calif., have developed video games in which winning requires players to regulate their heart rate variability, thus gaining greater control over their emotional responses to stressful situations.

  • @DrMontague saying 'computer games are scapegoats" doesn't make sense-in my situation ; gaming in general has done nothing but ENHANCE my appreciation for music-I know many others like this.... visit my channel and listen to "universe sensation".... i wrote that when i was 16 [23 now]and cut it myself with nothing but a mic and an acoustic guitar, and thats just me... you know how many other folks were inspired by great music and went on to create beautiful art/inventions and lead healthy lives?

  • @Electricspaceodyssey agree with you that kids know the difference between real and make believe. If kids do turn nasty then it is to do with their environment e.g. poverty, made to feel inadequate because they cannot compete in tougher and tougher examination systems therefore giving low self esteem, the feeling of being worthless. Society has to look itself not computer games for its problems. Computer games are a scape goats when society lets these kids down.
