Hal Sparks - Goodnights Comedy Club

Hal Sparks visited the Goodnights Comedy Club in Raleigh, NC for the weekend to perform.

I recorded him live on stage on Saturday, July 29, 2006.. he was flippin' hilarious. I love this guy!!

There's a funny story to that whole night:
-After his performance.. i went up to Hal and i basically started a line of people behind me.. he autographed my DVD box and i shook his hand.. i then asked him if i could get a photo with him with my digi-cam.. and when my friend Jeff tried to take a photo of me and Hal.. the damn camera turned off b/c the batteries died and couldn't handle another flash photo.. and so.. i asked if i could get another photo in a few minutes.. Hal was soooo nice.. he said he'll be there that night for a while (b/c he had another show right afterwards ours).. and then a few minutes later.. me and Jeff tried it with the digi-cam again for the 2nd time with Hal.. and the DAMN thing didn't work either!! LOL.. Hal laughed and i told him i'll be back.. (and i wasn't going to quit either..) and so.. i waited till i was the last person waiting for Hal.. and then the 3rd time we tried the digi-cam without flash.. and it didn't work.. and so i resorted to using my camera on my cellphone! lol.. And the picture is near the end of this video.. So yeah.. it was a cool night..

Heyy.. cool vid! I was sitting right in front of you there :) I was on the other side of the table from the Blonde woman you see in the clip there.. i saw you having trouble with your camera when you were trying to get the picture with Hal, and i was going to offer to take a picture for you with my Camera and email it to you or something, when i saw you take the picture with the Cellphone :)

I don't know if your from Raleigh (i for one am not.. lol) but I know the staff at goodnights were going to make sure they booked him again! So i'm sure he'll be back :)

Now if i can just get him up here for a gig.. lol

There actually IS a next time! lol.. i went to Hal's website @ www.halsparks.com and he wrote a blog about being in Raleigh.. and he wrote that he's coming back next year! :D

hehe i saw that blog..(the picture on the blog is hysterical..). This guy who works at goodnights was telling us after the sunday show that he had been working there for over 20 years, and that Hal was one of the funniest people they have booked there.. so i knew they would be booking him back again. I'd love to come back if they book him again, i had a good time.. its really far from home too.. lol

It was very different seeing him there, compared to New York or San Francisco.. it was cool :)
