This was four years ago and we haven't gotten our government to move on this issue yet. We only have ourselves to blame. Just ask yourself, "What did I do to move this issue along in the past four years?" If your honest answer was nothing, or near to nothing, then please consider doing SOMETHING this year!

Hemp is illegal because of the combined effort of William Randolph Hearst, Andrew Mellon, and the DuPont family.
Hearst owned timber, Mellon was heavily invested in DuPont, and DuPont had a big stake in man-made fibers.
Hemp would have reduced the value of all their investments, as it is a much more renewable source of fibers from which to make paper and fabric.
Hearst practiced his usual brand of "yellow journalism" that pushed the gullible public into embracing wars and bad legislation.

I just want to punch that dumb bitch in the mouth after watching this clip again. Seriously, I hate her! I loathe her and people like her! Once you drop the "majijuana" bomb on them they get all June Cleaver on you. Start with the "i don't know about this......will it get me high?" "I don't understand, this hemp is majijuana, how can I eat it without getting high?" "What is this hemp stuff".......even after it was just explained to them as if they were a 6 year old.
