Republican John McCain's running mate is turning out to be good for business -- the business of fundraising.
The campaign says that of the 47 million dollars he raised in August, 10 million came in the three days after he announced he had chosen Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate.
McCain told donors at a fundraiser yesterday that he's overwhelmed by the buzz Palin is generating for his White House bid.
McCain's campaign says the event raised four million dollars for the national Republican Party and state GOP committees, which will then spend it on McCain's behalf.
McCain spent about half of his speaking time boasting about Palin.
The fundraiser, in Democratic candidate Barack Obama's hometown, followed several days of campaigning in which Palin has nearly overshadowed the head of the ticket.
-.- (bla bla bla bla)

As mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin hired a lobbyist to bring in $27 million dollars in earmarks over 4 years. For a town of 7000, that's $1000 per person per year!
As governor of Alaska, Palin requested $450 million in earmarks over 2 years. That's $500 per Alaskan per year!
The average earmarks per American is $50 per year.
Sara Palin is exactly the person that John McCain's been complaining about.
How could he pick her?
Google "factcheck wasilla earmarks".
Lipstick isn't enough.

This caller is right about Sarah's job seeking benefits for her constituents. With lots of natural resources, a harsh climate and small population, good for her!
When she gets her dwelling and travel expenses covered as part of her job as governor and has cost Alaska so much less for those expenses than they've been in the past...you guys are obviously biased and are garnering more votes for McCain/Palin because when thinking people hear this they make sure they will get out and vote for her!
