Michael volunteered (as always) to guest sing for the elderly in celebration of 2009 Father's Day Variety Show organized by The Bauhinia Association and Office of District Council member Dr. Chow Kit-bing MH in Hong Kong. Michael started with a few lines : We've all been the young ones once; and we have our own young ones - it's good to stay young, well at least 'young at heart', and be healthy, and wealthy........(this was sung with just average Community Centre's audio equipments and recorded by a cell-phone)

大约31年前 (1978) 已经说定他非池中物 : (当年是我以观众身份打电话到大会堂后台对他说他赢定的, 而他也真的赢了!) 奈何他一贯低调, 淡薄名利, 与世无争, 赢了歌唱比赛却不发展. 后来跟他成了朋友, 方知原来是父母亲反对!!! 但努力学习, 奋发向上, 永不放弃的精神已把他带进司儀殿堂, 带进「今日華人」文獻, 被本港及国内外各界人士广泛欣赏认同, 不负众望 - 不负我望!!! 恭喜! 恭喜!!
