trying to do a 12v LED bulb swap (from the 921 incandecent bulbs) in my Keystone camper trailer. Looks like I may have found some 12v SMD LED bulbs from dealextreme.com that may work. I haven't tried them out on a camping trip yet, but will soon.

  • It's maybe 3/4ths of the brightness, but for the low amp draw, I think it's worth it. I bought more of them and outfitted my whole camper with them.

You will have to reposition them in the socket once you get to your camping destination, as I would say about 1/2 of them wiggle out of the way I position them in the socket. I figured I could shoe-goo them in or something to that effect, but I have better things to do. It's not a big deal and they stay in once you put them in at your destination.

  • camper was plugged into shore power at the time, but I removed the 12v fuse in battery-charging circuit, so that there'd be no charging, that's why the voltage shows only 12.6+ volts (read on the VoltMinder).

  • @RayJames552 This is why you find out what type of bulb you got in there first. Then read the add to make sure your buying the right ones.I just purchased some g4 base 220 lumen bulbs to put in my RV. The socket is a T10 but these can be made to work in there.I had no problems with my purchase from China.Took 17 days to Canada :-)

  • I tried this and the problem I ran into was purchasing the right size base to fit the fixture. Communicating with the chinese manufacturer as to what size I needed did not work. Hopefully I will get a refund on them but pricy especially when they do not fit and cannot be used.

I may wait a year or two untill they are stocked in local stores so that I can get the size right .

  • @ryanw95 Thanks for the reply.I see on ebay now there are some that are 140 lumens, seen a few 220 lumens.Maybe those would be closer to accual light brightness.Ya i was kind of worried about the G4 plug staying in the 921 socket. The g4 bulbs seem cheaper in price.Maybe a guy could just bend the tip a little and that will help them stay in.Thanks for the video good comparison.

  • How does this 108 lumens led compare to the 921 260 lumens incandescent bulb?Looks pretty good in the video. How about those connections on those leds they stay in the 921 socket pretty good?No problem of them coming out?
